Decerto

Decerto office space

The main idea of the project is to create friendly and comfortable workplace for many people. The interior in which the project was located was a place already filled with typically furnished offices. From the beginning, the area was cold and unhumane. Investors have spotted the problem, and have decided to develop a project that would fit their workers’ needs.

The area was divided into work areas with extra functions, such as: kitchen, reception and client zone. It is contrasted with areas of free communication. Work-friedly areas were divided with the use of tiny walls of two layers – interior and exterior. The interior layer, finished with plywood, does serve storage functions and plays the role of the ‘house interior’. The exterior layer – finished with white plaster is quite cold and its main goal is to separate. The cozy, homely atmoshpere of those tiny interiors is finished with windows, connecting both interior and exterior. The areas’ users can personalize their areas using windows, like real house-dwellers do, by placing plants and drying the laundry on windowsills.

Windows used for the space not only do enlarge the area. They were placey in a way to create an illusion of flaneuring through the ‘mini-city’.

Using the little house technique and creating the image of small town architecture in the interior, the typical office space, was developed into friendly, more complex and diverse one.
