Kawiarnia Relaks

café

The goal of the project was to create a distinct interior using a very small budget. The idea for the place was to become a new meeting point for the local community and to attract cyclists from around the city.

The space in which the cafe was created is the former interior of a children’s clothing store.

Some existing elements were refreshed, wooden panels on the walls and terrazzo tiles on the floor. The interior has been painted white. A ceiling with acoustic system has been added.

The mosaic prepared in such a way is a mosaic of cut-off pieces of different types of boards (hardwood plywood, coniferous plywood, non-slip formwork, mfp chipboard, and lacquered MDF boards). These boards create a graphic pattern, in addition they are cheap and available in the warehouse with carpentry materials. A bar counter, a bicycle service counter and benches to sit by the shop window emerge from the panel layout. Graphics from stacked plates create a modern and warm atmosphere of the interior, additionally random furniture arranged in this space (tables and chairs) do not change its reception.

The restaurant has been functionally divided into 3 zones: a cafe with a bar, an open space – shared with the toilet, and a workshop-bicycle service with a counter.
