House W35

single-family house

The main design task was to create a house located in a beautiful pine forest. After the first site visit, it became clear that the building must be in close symbiosis with the accompanying ecosystem. It should, in a completely non-invasive way, become part of an existing forest and create the impression of “emerging” from among the trees. This need crystallized the name of the proposed assumption – “Gałązka”, meaning simply „the branch”.

The “Gałązka” house has been divided into zones. Four zones create ideal lighting conditions and provide residents with access to views of the best parts of the landscape.

The first of these zones is the day zone – containing the entrance, hall and living room. The second is the dining area with kitchen, opening to a view of the forest. The third zone is the office, located away from noise generating zones. The fourth part is the technical zone, consisting of a garage and a warehouse. Above zones two and three are bedrooms and bathrooms.
