House B40

semi-detached houses

The main idea of the project was to place two single-family houses next to each other, while ensuring the intimacy of dwellers. Houses, solid in the form, have been complemented with Siberian spruce wood harmonizing with the surroundings.

In terms of the location of houses on the plot, the main task was to open its views towards a nearby lake. Terraces are an element that meets this requirement and as an additional advantage it does separate buildings from the busy street.

The function of the houses has been adapted for two 4-5-person families. Extensive day zones have been supplemented with three bedrooms, a toilet, two bathrooms and utility rooms. The space of buildings is expanded by a spacious, enlarged garage, enabling parking of up to four cars in one segment.
Moving the buildings away provides its dwellers with intimacy. The individuality of each segment is a result of the opposite arrangement of wooden elements on the facade.
The exterior of the building, covered with natural material, is complemented by large glazing, ensuring adequate interior lighting and residents’ comfort.
